Eino was born in Finland in 1940.
From a young age, he showed an exceptional artistic talent and at
twenty-two he moved to the United States, where he is still living
now.
Eino has been successfully applying his skills to the most heterogeneous
materials, such as marble, stone, onyx, quartz, clay, wood, iron,
steel and bronze.
He has held numerous personal exhibitions, both of figurative and
abstract sculpture.
Eino has sculpted more than 150 portraits. Museums, universities,
private collections and cities all over the world have welcome nearly
500 of his pieces of work.
In particular: Snowflake is an imposing monument
in Carrara marble, which was installed in the Utah Olympic park on
the occasion of the 2002 Winter Olympics; Victory is a life-size bronze
sculpture exhibited at Berkley University in California; Ludmilla
Engqvis is a a commemorative piece of the 1921 Olympics, which was
exhibited at the Stockholm Olympic stadium; and finally Olympic Spirit,
a bronze sculpture carved on the occasion of the Athens Olympics which,
in 2004, was permanently installed in the square named "Olympic
Champions" .

Eino found in LDM Italia
a group of artists in tune with his way of conceptualising sculpture
as a tangible, deep relationship between man and nature. Eino’s
creations for LDM Italia are of excellent design and artistic quality
and are characterised by the imaginative power and the delicate balance
between spaces, to such an extent that the supporting volumes seem
to be made solely by the structure’s light effects.
We introduce a selection of works of art which have been permanently
installed in public places. Details of the customer, the place and
the year of installation are shown.
